How to score Golf

  1. Play the nine hands listed on the supplied score reference.
  2. Agree on your layout and card values; the family sheet does not specify the number of cards dealt.
  3. Enter each player’s manually calculated hand total.
  4. The lowest cumulative total wins after hand nine.

What this scorekeeper records

The scorekeeper adds the hand values you enter; enter the final hand score after your table applies its layout and card-value rules.

Scoring example

If a player’s layout totals 4 points on hand three, enter 4. The scorekeeper adds the hand scores but never assumes a 3×3 or nine-card layout.

Variant notes

  • Nine hands. Lowest total wins.
  • Supplied card shorthand: Joker–2; Ace–1; King 0; Q–2 face value. The J/Q shorthand is ambiguous. Scores are entered manually, so no card-value math is applied.
