How to score Contract Rummy
- Choose the Pagat-described Contract Rummy rules; do not assume the family Shanghai score sheet has these contracts.
- Play the seven contracts in order: two groups of 3; group of 3 plus sequence of 4; two sequences of 4; three groups of 3; two groups of 3 plus sequence of 4; group of 3 plus two sequences of 4; then three sequences of 4 with no discard.
- After each hand, total unmelded cards using the selected values and enter each player’s penalty.
- The lowest total after contract seven wins.
