How to score UNO
- Play a round until one player has no cards.
- Use the instructions included with your edition to total the card values left in opponents’ hands.
- Enter the round winner’s awarded points and zero for other players.
- The game ends when a player reaches 500 cumulative points; highest total wins.

Scoring example
If the winning player’s opponents hold cards worth 42 points altogether, enter 42 for the round winner and zero for each other player.
Variant notes
- A round ends when a player empties their hand. Under classic scoring, the round winner scores the values of cards left in opponents’ hands.
- Under Mattel’s Basic UNO instructions, number cards count face value, Draw Two / Reverse / Skip count 20, and Wild / Wild Draw Four count 50.
- The cumulative objective in classic rules is to reach 500 points. Enter the round winner’s total; other players score zero.
