Variant notes

  • Use two named team rows for the classic four-player partnership game. Each hand is meld value plus bonuses minus cards remaining; negative totals are valid.
  • The classic game ends at 5,000 or more after a hand; the team with the higher total wins. Other Canasta versions use different targets and bonuses.
  • Team names are score rows only; melding requirements, canastas, red threes and partnership turns stay manual.
